It was not clear that fence boundaries were not enough. You have to set up stakes and wires and have wifi for this to work. I tried to return and neither Amazon nor seller would refund my money. I now have mower still in box in my living room.

Have used this robot lawn mower for the last 6 month. I selected this model after lots of research and chose it due to it’s advertised capabilities and overall value. Unfortunately I have been disappointed as it has not lived up to its advertised capabilities.Pros – 1) cuts well 2) it’s very quiet (ninja quiet) 3) will return to it’s base when rain is detected and resume cutting once the rain has passed 4) Looks goodCons – 1) Doesn’t consistently maintain it’s programmed schedule (have to manually start the cutting process >80% of the time) because it ‘drops offlne’ eventhough it remains connected to our wi-fi network 2) Doesn’t actually show a map of your yard in the App as advertised by the manufacturer 3) Often gets stuck for no apparent reason 4) Frequently gets stuck on tree roots 5) Doesn’t execute edge cutting on programmed days. 6) Can’t program zones for cutting various areas of your lawn as advertised by the manufacturer 7) No response from the manufacturer to questions or concerns submitted via the feedback feature in the app.

𝘁𝗹;𝗱𝗿: The product’s setup is challenging in yards with non-standard layouts due to the need for precise boundary setup.┈╍┄┈┄╍─╍┄┈┄╍─╍┄┈┄╍─╍┄┈┄╍─╍┄┈┄╍┈𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀:I don’t know what I was expecting when I ordered this. The setup was a bit too convoluted for my yard setup, and I ultimately gave up trying to get it set up.To preface, I recently purchased a home, and the previous owners planted many slim, tall trees to block the view from the neighbor’s two-story house. All over the product page, there’s mention of things like intelligent yard mapping and ultrasonic sensors, so I just assumed this used the app + GPS + sensors to determine the yard’s boundaries.That’s, however, not the case. This uses the traditional boundary wire that most (but not all) auto mowers use. That’s fine; that’s not normally a detractor to these things, but you have to carefully measure and secure the wire to your yard. Having something like trees and areas you don’t want to mow around also complicates the setup, as you need to carefully trace around each zone with the correct measurements. Ultimately, it was too complicated with the trees in my backyard for me to get set up.So, it’d be nice if Sunseeker could be more upfront about what boundary system this uses. It just seems a little weird that they market their obstacle sensors and whatnot when their user manual plainly dictates that you’d mostly need to map out the obstacles in a predefined manner beforehand.

Got this for a family member with failing eyesight, figured it would be great and help cover the yard area up close around the house at least and make things easier for them. We ran into issue after issue with a product that was suppose to make things easier, not harder. I will say that the tech support was helpful and we did get everything figured out and set up in the end but even with that being said its still underperforms.If you are using it on a relatively maintained yard with not a lot of leaves or branches and the grass is dry and you clean it after it runs then you could be fine. This is a bit more work and continual maintenance than I expected. The blades are more like larger razor blades and when we ran it once in the morning and the grass had some very light dew on it, it ended up gumming up and wasn’t cutting until I cleaned the blades. It is rather quiet and was able to cover the area we wired off in a single battery charge but its not fast and as stated did not preform as well as I expected.Overall its a great idea and I think one day it will get there, but as it stands this unit just isn’t worth it in my opinion. For the price point I would expect it to not need as much maintenance and oversight and it definitely should have not been as difficult to set up. When we first tried setting it up it kept saying it was already registered and we ended up having to contact customer service to get everything figured out. Honestly I was hoping this was going to be a home run but it has got a lot of room for improvement and growth still.

This is a great item, but not for everyone.If you have a small contiguous area to mow, and it has easy to dig, soft soil, and you want to automate the mowing – this item is for you.However, if you have a larger than 0.6 acre area, or the areas are not adjoining, or your soil is stony, or you enjoy mowing yourself – this item is NOT for you.The problem is that unlike a robotic vacuum, this device needs a wire dug into the ground at the perimeter of the area to be mowed. It is a long loop that begins and ends at the charger station of the robot. As you can imagine, you need to dig all the way around to bury the wire. The length of the wire has a maximum, hence the 0.6 acre limitation. If you have stones in the ground, this is a nightmare to install.If the above sounds doable, then you should be happy with this item.

To start out on the good note, this shipped to my house quickly and was fairly easy to assemble with the given instructions. Make sure to fully charge the provided battery using the charger that is also provided prior to use. This was by far quieter then my electric mower. Yard setup can be tricky depending on your layout but it is manageable. This is not a fast machine by any means and will not accommodate a large yard. When it says 0.6 acre, they mean it. Will mow over leaves with ease and very small twigs. Now for the downside, I got almost 2 uses out of it before it died and would no longer work. Somehow it overheated and melted the undercarriage and left wheel making it inoperable. I really liked how I could do other tasks while my yard was being taken care of, but cannot do that now with a burnt out unit.

Update!!:This mower is supposed to learn your lawn and begin offering patterns and mowing in lines. It does not do this. This feature does not work. We have run this every week for months now and it has not updated, learned. It works, but not well. We have to go back with our reel mower and fix about a quarter of our yard. What’s worse than the product is the horrible customer service! They won’t respond. When they finally responded they said they had no idea how to help us. That was the last response despite us replying multiple times. Worthless! Dropped from 5 stars to 2 stars because it works, but it doesn’t work as intended.I love my robot lawnmower! It’s been a game-changer for my lawn maintenance. It’s incredibly convenient, requires minimal effort to set up, and keeps my yard looking pristine. Plus, it’s quiet and eco-friendly. I couldn’t be happier with this investment.

I ordered this Sunseeker robot lawn mower because I have had Sunseeker products before and know they are quality products. We have a small yard at our lake house that we visit regularly, but not often enough to keep the lawn mowed during the Spring/Summer. This was a great solution to have the robot lawn maker mow on a schedule when we are not there.Set up: Definitely watch one of the many YouTube videos out there to understand how to set up the boundaries, etc. They are super useful and very self-explanatory. It will make the set up go smoothly. We found that the mower worked well within the boundary settings.Sound: The mower is very quiet.Mowing: We were able to easily adjust the settings to cut the lawn at the length we wanted.One challenge: the one challenge we do have at the cabin is during certain periods of time, we have large pine cones. The mower can tackle the smaller ones, but not the large ones. So we have to keep those cleaned up for the mower to run smoothly.

This machine will not work for large yards. It works great for small areas with no obstructions. It can handle small twigs, but not anything bigger. It cuts grass with ease. It is also pretty slow moving. It is not a bad product and it feels decently made.
